- Inspection and permitting of public pools, spas, restaurants, tattoo parlors and tourist accommodations
- Inspections and permitting of individual sewage systems and individual wells
- Investigations of outbreaks of food borne illnesses
- Collection of water samples from individual wells for analysis
- Investigations of complaints regarding septic systems, water, garbage, etc.
- Investigations of West Nile Virus reports and submission of birds for testing
- Submission of animal heads for rabies testing
- Reviews and approves proposed subdivisions for septic tank systems and individual wells
